Terms of service

Last updated 19 October 2026. Draft: this page describes what the service does today and is pending review by the responsible policy owner before paid launch.

Mordial is operated by Papadi Play. These terms describe how the service works today. Where the service behaves differently from this page, the page is wrong and will be corrected; nothing here promises a capability the running service does not have.

1. Who may use the service

Mordial is for professional and business use. You must be able to enter a contract and must sign in with a verified identity. A demo deployment, when offered, is labelled as such on every page and produces mock renders only.

2. What you buy

  • Packs and top-ups are one-off purchases in USD. Nothing renews automatically and we never charge a saved card without you starting a checkout.
  • A pack adds credits to a workspace and sets its limits: workspaces, seats, storage and file retention. Current limits are shown under Packs & credits and enforced by the server.
  • Credits are service units with no cash value. They do not expire while your account is active. See billing and refunds.

3. Takes, quotes and charges

  • Before every take you see a credit quote locked for 15 minutes. Accepting it reserves the credits. Nothing is reserved until you accept.
  • A take is charged only when the delivered file is verified as 1920×1080 or 1080×1920 MP4. Technical failures release the hold automatically. An upscaled file is always labelled as upscaled.
  • A technically valid take counts even if you prefer another creative direction, as in any production.
  • If we cannot tell what happened at the provider, the hold is protected and the take is reviewed by an operator. You can see this state on the take page and ask for help with the take id.

4. Your content

  • You keep the rights you have in your briefs and uploaded assets. You confirm you hold the rights to anything you upload and have consent from any identifiable person. Impersonation and non-consensual imagery are prohibited.
  • Outputs are AI-generated. You own them subject to the model provider's terms; they are not guaranteed accurate, original or commercially cleared. Keep a human review step.
  • Workspaces are private. Files are served through time-limited links and are never placed in a public gallery.

5. Retention and deletion

Files are kept for the retention period of the workspace's pack (30, 90 or 180 days; 30 days without a pack) and then deleted by an automated job. The expiry date is shown on each take and asset. If a pack change shortens retention, nothing is deleted with less than seven days' notice. Deleted files cannot be recovered; records of the take remain for billing history.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Mordial to produce content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, deceptive about real people or events, or that violates the model provider's policies. Provider safety filters may refuse a brief; refused takes release their credits.

7. Availability and changes

Model availability is shown live on the pricing page and in the composer. We may pause quoting when supplier prices are stale or margins are unsafe; paused tiers cannot be purchased. We may change prices for future purchases; purchased credits keep their value as service units.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the pack or top-up concerned. We are not liable for how you use outputs.

9. Contact

Questions and disputes: support. Include the take id or payment reference so we can trace it.
